Course Description
The EU Regulation 2019/947 requires that any remote pilot operating an unmanned aircraft system in the UAS Open category A2 successfully complete (in addition to other requirements) a theoretical knowledge examination aimed at assessing the remote pilot’s knowledge of the technical and operational mitigations for ground risk, distributed appropriately across the following subjects:
- meteorology
- UAS flight performance
- technical and operational mitigations for ground risk
Candidates are required to have successfully completed the online training and examination for UAS OPEN A1/A3, and a self-practical training in the operating conditions of sub-category A3.
Remote pilots wishing to operate in the Open Category A2.
Successful Candidates will receive a certificate from DAC, which they can download under “Remote Pilot Certificates”.
